Day 8 - The Tree House - Aberystwyth

I meet with Alan Chamberlain in the tree house in the afternoon. The morning is spent in the National library working through emails and missing the delivery of my new computer. Still no sign of the laptop, so I call apple repairs in London and am told that it is on the way. One or two pieces of equipment would make life a great deal easier.

Alan and I spend the best part of the afternoon in the Tree House, an ethically run cafe, in the centre of Aberystwyth. Prior to our meeting he encourages me to look out for a man with long hair and cycle helmet. We meet on the stairs and quickly find a table on the 1st floor. We order coffee. His is decaf and mine is a more masculine cup of the same brew... at least this is inferred by the waiter.

Alan talks at length about his work with Mike Pearson and Bubbling Tom along with more current projects with Blast Theory. He allows me to record the conversation, which is a relief because it is an awful lot to remember in such a short space of time. Amongst other things we discuss ways in which I might begin to play with Blogging. Possibly doing so in real time from fixed points along the route of my journeys as I attempt to track the work of the NTW.

I decide that I will travel down to Blackwood on Wednesday and document my journey in real time.
