A quick blog to promote Tin Shed Theatre Co. newest venture Molecule: Artists in Residency

We have recently moved into our new space (a large disused MFI furniture store in Maes Glas, Newport, Gwent) and we are looking to run a residency programme with anyone who may need a lot of free space and a few additional resources to take a project in the early stages of development and to begin to work with it in the physical realm.

As a company that currently receives no form of formal, regular funding we have always struggled to find "free" space, and now we have vast amounts of it the first thing we would like to do is offer it out to people working in our world.

We want to meet new people, aid the creation of contemporary theatre and live art and encourage the creation of this work in a deprived area such as Newport. In offering this space to new and emerging works we hope to insight an ethos which will breed a respect and value for an area of Wales we love dearly.

Almost anyone can apply for space as long as the nature of the work falls under our prescribed conditions (which are actually quite broad!) so please, if you're interested, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
