Today I arrived at the set of Coriolan/us, I have already been researching and have been marketing the show in the lovely Aberystwyth and now I have ventured down South Wales to continue marketing and working on the show.

I will be working with NTW this week helping with marketing the show and also in front of house, I have already learnt so much from my first day at the Hangar.

On entering the gates of the Hangar I am already in awe of the space, I realise that this will be a site specific performance that CAN NOT be missed!

Watching a rehearsal shortly after I arrived my excitement continues, the performance space is even better than I had imagined, hitting each of my senses and making me feel as if I am right in the middle of the action even though I am standing at the other end of the large Hangar.

Wearing the headphones makes the performance in such a large space feel intimate, I felt as if what I was hearing was being said only to me. I constantly kept looking over my shoulder to take in the space.

The set is simple yet incredibly effective, even when the daylight breaks back into the space and the rehearsal comes to an end, there is still a strong atmosphere being held within the large space.

Later on in the day was the press call, where camera crews from S4C, BBC and ITV were all present, filming snippets of the show and recording interviews with the cast and crew. Seeing this come together with the precise scheduling and professionalism was great to witness and I have now seen the work and preparation needed for such events. Being behind the cameras watching this go on was really insightful, as I usually view the final edits on the television.

Bring on the rest of the week at Hangar 858.... I look forward to it.
