what being said in this video echoes in similar 'designed' streets in other cities, real glad to hear voices from Butetown

Just goes to show that redevelopment doesn't bring about community, people do that themselves. It looks like from this brief glimpse Butetown has spirit, and is a living entity, all it needs is to be recognised & not show Cardiff simply as the redevelopment of the Bay. Let's make Butetown a part of it as well. Well done Gavin would like to see a longer doc on it, much like Dee Rees's film of last year 'Colonial Gods'

Great film. Good to see people who know the area well have their say. Thanks for posting

What a fantastic film...really brings out the feelings and concerns of young people in Butetown today - breaking the perceptions of Butetown as a 'hard to reach' community - and juxtaposing the area physically against developments in Cardiff Bay.

Hey Gav, really good to hear the kids with so many positive things to say about the community, and really constructive in what they feel needs improving, great to see more like this :)
