TEAM panel intro (with a little help from Will Smith)

 TEAM Panel introduction

I thought for ages what I could write about to introduce myself as a new member of the TEAM Panel, and couldn't get anything down and then it came to me, I would begin by using some help from one of my main inspirational men of all time (along with Barack Obama and Bradley Walsh).......Will Smith.

Now, this is a story all about how

My life got flipped-turned upside down

And I'd like to take a minute

Just sit right there

I'll tell you how I became a member of the panel Ah yeah

                                                         TEAM Aberystwyth!

In west Wales Carmarthenshire born and raised

Newcastle Emlyn was where I spent most of my days

Chillin' out, baking' performing' all cool
And all Acting and dancing outside of the college
When Catherine P and Devinda who were up to no good
Created an assembly in my neighborhood
An Assembly in Aber, and we did it ‘cause we cared
We performed to the town and the community there

 performing in Manchester

I Finished in college and I had the best years

The Next step was Uni Where I’m studying dance theatre
If anything I could say, I've had great times here
But I thought 'Nah, this summer' - 'Yo, homes to Cymru'

I’ve got so much from TEAM and nothing could be greater
And I yelled to Anna 'Yo homes see ya later'
I looked around Cardiff
I was finally there
To spread the news about TEAM from Conwy to Aberdare

FIN.

If that explains nothing then here's a short bio I found from last year ....

'Laura is a performer from Wales and has trained in performing arts since GCSE drama continuing to a National Diploma in Performing Arts at college in Aberystwyth and is now in her final year studying Performance- Dance Theatre at the University of Salford. Laura has performed with companies such as National Theatre Wales and Kendall Calling Festival and as well as performing enjoys the community aspect of theatre and also gets a bit geeky when it comes to marketing for the arts. Since moving to Manchester in 2011, Laura has volunteered with companies such as North West Dance as a Regional representative for Salford and after completing a work placement with Tracing steps is now teaching children's Drama classes and Activ8 Disability dance classes.'

I have done some really great things with TEAM since joining after the Aberystwyth assembly and have had some really valuable and fun experiences such as a marketing placement on the show Coriolanus, blogging live for the Year 3 Launch, a number of training opportunities and going to the Edinburgh fringe festival to promote 'The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning'! I'm looking forward to getting started with the panel and can't wait to see what the new year brings for TEAM and National Theatre Wales.

Here are some picture of things I have done with National Theatre Wales and beyond.....
