Edinburgh Fringe FOUR YEARS ON

Hello,

I'm Charlie Hammond. I was a NTW TEAM member from some time around 2011-2013/4. But as Catrin Rogers, Press and PR Manager for NTW, reminded me when we met as this year's Edinburgh Fringe festival: 'Once a NTW member, always a NTW member'.

So here is a suitable self-indulgent but possibly interesting post about my journey from Cardiff 2013 to Edinburgh 2017, via the West Midlands, Paris, and Manchester.…

Rehearsals for Gaggle Babble's The Forsythe Sisters

Instead of allowing themselves to take a breather after the success of The Bloody Ballad of Mary Maid (Winner of the Brighton Fringe Emerging Talent, WhatsOnStage Musical Theatre Network Best Musical Winner and Best Music in a Musical), Gaggle Babble have launched straight into their next project Apparitions of Spirits with The Forsythe Sisters. Taking place in the rather lovely …

Collective Performance Night

Basically I've started thinking about ways to output work in Cardiff, and, having been in a couple of different cities recently and seen their "vibe", I've been thinking there is a gap in Cardiff for a collective performance night for theatre, comedy, music and whatever is going really. Scratch that Itch kind of achieves this, but is mainly Swansea based, and basically I just want to see a bit more interaction between all the arts discipline and a ground level. We all have dedicated nights…

Edinburgh Round-Up

As I write I am back at home in sunny Cardiff (well, in comparison) already feeling the post-Edinburgh festival blues. Firstly I'd like to give a big thank you to all those at NTW for allowing me to do this, I love Edinburgh and it has been a pleasure to write and promote for such an outstanding production. If I haven't already mentioned you should be watching NTW's The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning at…

Hi Charlie,

Welcome to the Community! It's great to see you here.

Have a look around and get stuck in. There are plenty of Groups you can join to start networking. I recommend checking out the Actors Group (which is looked after by Michael Salmon, Company Assistant), or the Writers Group (which is looked after by John McGrath, Artistic Director).

You can also update the Community in a Blog Post - or use a post to start a discussion or debate - and see what's on today, or add your own events, in our What's On section

As usual it's best to just dive in but if you have any questions, do let me know.

Jen
