Profile Information

What I do:
Producer, project manager, consultant and facilitator
A little more about me:
I am an arts and cultural producer, consultant, facilitator and project manager, based in Cardiff and working across the UK. My specialism is public engagement - I love work that puts artists/ organisations at risk of change through an encounter with the public, and vice versa. Sometime I initiate work as a creative producer; other times I deliver work for clients. It tends to cut across usual sector silos (subsidised, commercial, performance/production, learning, outreach, community, amateur, participatory) and I rarely focus on just one artform.

Having started own my own business in 2002, I have worked on a wide variety of projects across artforms and sectors; contracts have included programme development/ delivery, feasibility, research, consultation and evaluation.

Current and previous clients include the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Arts Council England, National Skills Academy (CC Skills), Welsh National Opera, and Voluntary Arts Network.
Location:
Cardiff and Manchester
Projects I’m working on:
- Evaluating a WNO programme of community work in Wrexham
- R&D for a European premiere of a youth opera based around then Greek myth of Pandora
- Programming a new science festival for Cheshire
- A street arts project and debate, with Micah Purnell
- Helping Karol Cysewski take his dance piece, Wonders of The Universe to the Edinburgh Fringe
- Board member for Theatr Iolo and Un-Convention, and chair of What Next? in Cardiff
- Steering group member for Producers' Place (see the NTW Community producers group)
- Attending the EFA Atelier for Festival Managers in Edinburgh in April 2014
- Consultancy with and for the Orchestral Consortium here in Cardiff
- Facilitation and consultancy work with various music education hubs
