Comfort in the infinite - Light Waves Dark Skies (critical chinwag)

For my second critical chinwag outing I found myself travelling to Cardiff and my first visit to the Chapter Arts Centre in some years. And what a great small arts centre success story it is! It was great to be back. The play is another micro success story - it started out as a National Theatre Wales 'Waleslab' project, which means that it was initially an exploratory project supported by NTW's creative development policy for new talent and project seeding. From there it has continued to develop…See More

Profile Information

What I do:
visual artist - sculpture, installation, theatre design
A little more about me:
Interested in layers, in-betweens, paradoxes, crossovers, movements, rhythms and shadows. Like working with creatives of other mediums. Can't help but have ideas, love working in strange and wonderful places!
Location:
north wales
Projects I’m working on:
i have my own studio at The Old Goods Yard in Treborth, North Wakes, where there are many interesting and varied creative people including performers and artists.
I am also a core member of Theatr Dan Y Coed, we put on sensory immersive outdoor theatre productions every now and then (we like to keep the mystery, haha) and are just starting to plan a production for summer 2017.
As a noisy, troublemaking, arts activist and passionate advocate for creativity at the centre of our lives, I seem to get involved in all kinds of things and it feels more important now more than ever, so I've stepped up, joined the TEAM panel and am open and listening to what I can help NTW do for our creative community. Get in touch.

Hey Rachel -

indeed - im slowly shedding my old technophobe ways and embracing ways to connect and chat.  I've just been asked to do another giant storytelling for Ludlow castle in Sept.  They too want a soundscape to support the action _ fascinating stores - catherine of aragon and lady blacksmiths and such like - i'll let you know more when i do xjo
