CALLING ALL THEATRE-MAKERS!!!
In July, in Swansea, a new NTW Team event is going to happen. TEAM Workout is for theatre-makers of all kinds (actors, writers, directors, designers, technicians, puppeteers, I could keep going for a while…). It’s an invitation to come and play for a day, meet new people and work practically on ideas.
There are two ways you can take part. First off - JOIN THIS EVENT TO TELL US YOU'RE COMING!:
After initial warm ups and introductions (feel free to bring those too!) those bringing ideas will be linked up to those donating skills. You will then have space and time to work on them in any way you like. Depending on numbers we may have several separate sessions so people move around and work on more than one project. The day will end with a Skill Swap session organised by Peter and Emma.
Workout will happen a little bit before one of Brent’s Scratch That Itch sessions so if you would like to show where you’ve got to and get feedback there’ll be an opportunity a few days later.
If you’re interested and would like to know more please join the TEAM Workout group for updates – here.

... and just to let you know, for the tweeters among you #ntwTEAMworkout is long but happy hashtag. See you tomorrow!
Hey everyone - notes & info for Sunday below. Any issues on the day my number is 07985 252 784 and email is lisawellsturner@gmail.com Look forward to seeing you there!
Getting there...
Volcano's space is at 229 High Street, Swansea SA1 1NY. It's about 5 minutes walk from Swansea Station and there are quite a few car parks about. There may also be free on the road parking further up the high street on a Sunday morning. Map is here
Timings, etc
Day will start at 10.15am (I've put it back from 10 given it's Sunday). We'll open with a short introductory and warm up session then we'll get everyone lined up with projects and get cracking. We're anticipating there will be 2 main sessions (so everyone will work on at least 2 things) followed by a Skill Swap session to finish. There will be a lunch break and we anticipate the day will end about 4.30pm.
Bringing stuff to work on:
We've currently got 5 different pieces of work lined up for people to work on. This should fit quite well with the people turning up but there is space for an additional project or two. If you have something you think you'd like to get people working on let me know before Sunday if you can and please make sure you bring enough paper copies for the people you need if relevant (it's fine to bring non script based stuff too).
Don't see why not. Hopefully day will enable everyone to meet loads of new people and find out what they're up to while also getting to work on emerging new projects. I imagine we'll also go round room finding out about people at some stage too :)
Hi can I shamelessly network and pug my event?
I've had to click "Not Attending" as unfortunately the date clashes with a performance of a touring production I'm in. Sad face! Hope it is a massive success, and if there's another one in the future I very much hope to attend!
Awesome idea Hugrun! Hopefully people will respond here but if you need any help let me know!
Coming from a person who doesn´t own a car, this might seem selfish, but is anyone interested in a carpool? Greener world, fewer coaches, less hassle, more getting to know each other :)
