Working Wo/Man at Victor Salvi Room, Wales Millenium Centre

November 17, 2014 from 7:30pm to 8:30pm
Working Wo/Man is a sharing performance of the first project by FYI Theatre Collective. Growing from shared experiences of the sometimes oppressive nature of work, the piece explores the fact that while all the participants in the project have worked in different industries and workplaces, the feelings evoked by the encounters we have with customers, co-workers, bosses and audiences leave us with similar feelings.Using our collective theatre skills and experience, and inviting a new performer…See More

Tin Shed Theatre Co.

This is a group for Tin Shed Theatre Co.Based in Newport, South Wales, we are Justin Cliffe, Georgina Harris and Antonio Rimola, three performance artists who want to introduce themselves to strangers, be bold and brave, amaze with a tale and transport audiences to a place that, although remains detached from the literal, can still enlighten our perceptions of the real world all the same. The work we do is as varied as the things that inspire it. We like to explore empty buildings, transform…See More

'City Road' - A Pub Soap Opera

This project largely grew from an idea for a pub soap opera I took to the NTWTeam Workouts during summer 2014. It is based on just such a soap opera I was involved in as a professional actor back in 1999 in Battersea, London under the auspices of the Battersea Arts Centre. With 'City Road' the intention is not merely to replicate what has gone before but to produce a piece of theatre that is not only relevant to its environment and that particular community but is utterly accessible. We shall…See More

Profile Information

What I do:
A little more about me:
I graduated from The University of Wales, Trinity St David with a BA Hons in Acting. I am interested in all aspects of performance but my main passion lies with the theatre. There is something about the process and product that grips me.

I also enjoy devising, touring theatre, Theatre in Education and singing... most things performance related really!

I am currently learning BSL and I am very interested in working inclusively.
Projects I’m working on:
I am a part of a company called F.Y.I theatre collective. We are a collective that is made up of emerging artists from different social back grounds. We are interested in creating work that draws from our own experiences and that is relevant today. We are also very interested in collaborating with other artists. I have have attended various workshops at the unity festival as well as working with Taking Flight Theatre Company taking part in their workshop facilitator training pilot. I have also had the opportunity to do some support work which I really enjoy and am looking to do some more of.
