Profile Information

What I do:
Independent creative producer, consultant and facilitator
A little more about me:
I am an arts and cultural producer, consultant, facilitator , based in Cardiff and working across the UK. My specialism is public engagement - I love work that puts artists/ organisations at risk of change through an encounter with the public, and vice versa. Sometime I initiate work as a creative producer; other times I deliver work for clients. It tends to cut across usual sector silos (subsidised, commercial, performance/production, learning, outreach, community, amateur, participatory) and I rarely focus on just one artform.

Having started own my own business in 2002, I have worked on a wide variety of projects across artforms and sectors; contracts have included programme development/ delivery, feasibility, research, consultation and evaluation.

Current and previous clients include the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Arts Council England, National Skills Academy (CC Skills), Welsh National Opera, and Voluntary Arts.

I am cofounder What Next? Cardiff and #ProducersPlace, a National Adviser for ACW, and company producer for award-winning collective Light Ladd & Emberton.
Location:
Cardiff
Projects I’m working on:
- Touring with Light Ladde & Emberton - CAITLIN, Disgo Distaw Owain Glyndwr Silent Disco and other things
- Working with artists like Karol Cysewski and Caroline Sabin
- in 2018, interim CEO of Theatre Bristol
- sometimes lecturing at RWCMD
- and plenty more!

Hi Laura

Can producers just turn up, or do we need to sign up for #producersplace work-in at Chapter?

If we can come:

What time does it start next Wednesday?

Many Thanks

Rach

Dear Laura

Just been reading your "Disrupting the Arts" posted in "Understanding Audiences". What a great article.  Confirms a lot of my own beliefs.
