Hello My name is Salaban Mohamed known to many people as Yusuf over the past few years i have been working with the ethnic minority communities in Cardiff mainly on a voluntary basis. I have now joined National Theatre Wales as the Community Engagement Associate for the De Gabay project and will be still working in the community.

My name Salaban Mohamed I am 33 years married with 6 children I have lived in Cardiff for over 21 years i was schooled at willows high school and i finished my studies in the University of Glamorgan .For the past 11 years i have mainly working for community based Organisations,the past 3 years i worked for the HORN EDUCATION & ENTERTAINMENT SOCIETY known as heeso where i was the project Co-Ordinator .i love working in this field as i have strong fillings for community issues. I am now the Community Engagement Associate for the National Theatre Wales where i hope to do the same.

I am working on DE GABAY PROJECT.
DE GABAY project is a site specific project it means the poem or the song and it focuses on the poetry talent within the Somali community in Cardiff but it also works with the wider community in Butetown and brings everyone together.
