Herald Radio
March 2016 - present
Herald Radio is an online radio station, dedicated to bringing the people of Wales great music and great news stories on the hour, every hour.
I present two shows a week on the Drivetime Show between 3pm and 7pm, every Monday and Wednesday. I prepare the shows myself, and am often joined by a guest for an interview.
I am therefore extremely experienced in using Myriad and other broadasting/recording equipment.
I also source and write unique, informative stories for the hourly news bulletin, just like I do for the newspapers (The Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Llanelli and Ceredigion Herald), and read them out on the radio.
The stories that I report cover Pembrokshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. We at Herald Radio strive to be the best at delivering news fast, and with plans to launch on FM in the near future, we'll be competing to be top dog for west Wales.
The news is broadcast on the hour, every hour.
I also record and write scripts for adverts, and liase with Herald Radio's sales team and their customers to record the perfect advert for them. Once given the details needed to create an advert, I record the audio and mix it with whatever music I feel fits best. When the advert is approved by the customer, it is then put into the log in Myriad.

- I also own and write for a blog entitled 'Chasing Esme', which is named after my 2-year-old daughter.
I started off writing about being a new mum at the beginning of 2015 for The Pembrokeshire’s Best Magazine (owned by Herald Newspapers PLC). After writing a few months’ worth of articles, I realised I really enjoyed documenting everything.
My other half, Al, suggested I start a blog – so I did!
As well as working for Herald Radio, I also blog about the day-to-day life with a toddler, latest hairstyles that are in fashion right now, product reviews and fitness. You can view my blog at www.chasingesme.co.uk where you can read examples of my work.
