Hi I am currently organising the set and costume for Bridgend Youth Theatres production of 'Honk' which will open in Porthcawl Grand Pavilion at the end of July.

If you are interested in getting involved with scenic painting, prop design or costume please let me know.Sorry there is no payment attached to this activity but all work can be professionally photographed.

Young Critics Juniors review Theatr na nOgs 'We Need Bees'

The Young Critics Juniors Scheme recently ran a creative writing workshop at Newton Primary,Porthcawl,Bridgend.

The workshop was supported by poet Rhian Edwards and Literature Wales.

The YC JR's wrote a series of poems as a response to the production a selection of which are posted below.They also used a comic book format to illustrate their own personal highlights from the production.

Youth theatre tutors and a director/artistic team

Bridgend Youth Theatre is looking for youth theatre tutors and a director/artistic team to lead its junior show involving around 200 young people aged 8 to 14 years.



Commitment would involve weekends during term-time from January until July with a show at The Grand Pavilion in Porthcawl towards the end of July.

Very Young Critics Review Aesop's Fables by Theatr na n'Og

As part of the Young Critics Scheme we have been looking to develop the voices of our younger audience members. If a show for young people is reviewed more often than not this is by an adult, we are keen to involve younger people in this process.

Set Design/Scenic painting work Opportunity

)  Basically, we are looking for 3 banners to go at back of stage, similar to those on the stills - one pithead, then the others showing shop fronts etc.  Realism is not required, just an idea of a background.  The Maesteg Town Hall stage is 24ft wide, with an 18ft drop.  These would ideally be painted on calico and then we can put weighted bars at bottom and sleeve at top to hang…
