The Young Critics Juniors Scheme recently ran a creative writing workshop at Newton Primary,Porthcawl,Bridgend.
The workshop was supported by poet Rhian Edwards and Literature Wales.
The YC JR's wrote a series of poems as a response to the production a selection of which are posted below.They also used a comic book format to illustrate their own personal highlights from the production.

We are currently developing the Young Critics scheme for Primary aged children, to get their feedback on work which is created for their age group.We are currently experimenting with a range of response methods.We are particularly keen to develop the use of Apps to respond to the Arts in Wales.

Youth theatre tutors and a director/artistic team
Bridgend Youth Theatre is looking for youth theatre tutors and a director/artistic team to lead its junior show involving around 200 young people aged 8 to 14 years.
Commitment would involve weekends during term-time from January until July with a show at The Grand Pavilion in Porthcawl towards the end of July.

As part of the Young Critics Scheme we have been looking to develop the voices of our younger audience members. If a show for young people is reviewed more often than not this is by an adult, we are keen to involve younger people in this process.
