"And since we've no place to go/ Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow..."

“And since we’ve no place to go/ Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...”

Ha!

In keeping with the start of a new year and resolutions galore, I'm pleased to be seeing my diary fill up with chances to meet up with people and see more live work.

The dying days of 2012 held treats in the form of Out Of The Blue by Theatr Iolo and A Curious Zoo by Caroline Sabin, Deborah Light and others. But 2013 has started with a cultural bang. In addition to starting to learn Welsh, keeping up book group and trying to make a few more gigs, I’ve also booked a flutter of theatre and event tickets.

Hence I find myself committed to HIDE at Chapter, another dance show by Deborah Light, and WNO’s Lulu, which I’m really excited about (almost despite its length – more than three hours!). If you then add the plethora of other events I’m showing my face at, from NTW things to ACW things to BBC Performing Arts Fund things, the diary to March looks quite busy. Plus I’ve got a cinema voucher to spend – and I’m planning on going on my own, a luxury! As well as that, I’m hoping that The RSA will host a conversation around the What Next? themes after the national event was postponed (let me know if you’re interested to contribute or attend).

So having landed in Wales in August, I feel as if I’m starting to find my feet and work out a potential place for me and my ambitions for work.

Now, if only this snow would stop...
