Hi all!
Project title: HIRAETH
Project type: Theatre (Touring)
Description:
HIRAETH is a coming of age story about a young welsh girl leaving the family farm of her upbringing for the bright lights and chaos of London. By turns hilarious and heartbreaking it’s a small but powerful show looking at love, loss and what ‘home’ really means.
Role description:
Male or female, any ethnicity, early 20’s - late 30’s. Guitar player. Strong improviser. Ideally familiar with clowning but not essential. He/she is the bedrock of the show, it’s stable core around which everything else rotates. Must be happy multi-roling and have a good welsh accent (Welsh speakers preferred but not essential). He/She is generally speaking the kind of person that everyone feels comfortable being around: open, supportive and playful. Guitar playing is essential for the show, but also for the 'twmpath' which the group will host at the end of every show.
Rehearsals dates will be in February, specific dates will be arranged between the team and whoever's successful.
Audition dates
6th January in Wales Millennium Centre, WMC.
7th January in London (venue TBC)
