Very good news this morning!

Tin Shed Theatre Co. has been given it's first Arts Council Wales funding! Hazar! So our Comedy Port immersive venue will be going ahead!

Last year we ran a pilot of the scheme in which we transformed the gallery space of U.R.B.A.N into the inside of a rocket ship, complete with planets, aliens, port holes and arcade games, we did this with a tight budget and no one got paid. So this year we applied for a grant of just under £5,000 to create our venue space and programme and pay acts who participate and gather the fine people, such as yourself. Putting our applciation together in just a few days in order to meet the deadline we were nervous about the outcome, this is fantastic recogition for us as a previously un-funded company, so as you may imagine we're now all eager to start making the whole thing happen for you guys to come and play!

In October we will be building a Submarine at U.R.B.A.N John Frost Sq, Newport. This Submarine will be our venue for one week of ecclecic comedy from all over England and Wales!

An opening night of immersive, interactive, fun and games followed up by brilliant live performance.After this a week of various comedy acts (see details here: http://www.tinshedtheatrecompany.com), Mystery Movie Nights, a bar, Live Music and laughter aplenty! Don't miss it!
