Profile Information

What I do:
Creative Associate National Theatre Wales
A little more about me:
From 2006-11 I was Artistic Director of Camden People's Theatre. I've worked as a director, writer, performer, dramaturg, production manager and lectured on theatre history.
Most of the work I make is devised, and have made work for theatres, sites and audio pieces - the form and location dictated by the idea.
I'm really interested in creative processes and how people make work; I'd like to see people being more open about how they make work.
Message me if you want to know more about WalesLab, artist development, Emerging Directors, submitting ideas to NTW or anything that you think I might be able to help you with.
Location:
Cardiff is home but wherever in Wales I happen to be this week
Projects I’m working on:

****Last chance to apply**** How do we create work online in a networked world?

At NTW we've always got one eye on the future, thinking about how we make work and how we could make work.

For a while now we've been adding to the tools we use to make and develop work, but without any time to explore what these new tools mean or are capable of. That's about to change.

In 1998 I had a 56k dial-up modem and a mac clone, and was introduced to Google. The way this search engine worked change the way I did. In 1999 I was sending zip-disk back & forth to San…

There are definitely both in Newport.  There's a proper boxing club not far from the police station in town and I know somebody who does wrestling at the SHARE Centre in Newport... at least I think that's where he does it.  I'll get back to you with more details this evening.  All the best Matt!
