The truly excellent Forest Fringe gang (who produce a free festival at the Forest Cafe in Edinburgh every year) are also presenting a 'flash conference' this year at the venue on 21 August.

In their words it's a chance 'to ask daring questions and suggest implausible answers. To share a spirit of generosity and a galvanising sense of hope; that despite or perhaps because of the political, financial and environmental circumstances in which we find ourselves, the arts can and will play a part in imagining and realising a better possible future.'

You can find full details at http://flashconference.co.uk/

To help support the conference NTW are offering free accommodation for the weekend to a Welsh artist or theatre lover who wants to attend Edgelands.  If you can face the prospect of sharing breakfast with NTW staffers in our Endinburgh flat and would like to engage in the excitement of Edgelands, send a message to me through the NTW site. You will need to cover your own travel and expenses, and sort out your own reservation for Edgelands asap, but we'll make the toast!
