Room to Read successfully transformed another public space in Cardiff into a reading aloud corner on Saturday. Creating a haven of concentration and stillness amongst Cardiff's Big Weekend, passers-by were confused, grinned, and some took the plunge and joined in.

One intrepid on-looker requested that a passing noisy road sweeping machine didn't disrupt the proceedings - and the request was granted.
