HUGE congratulations to NTW for your award - Fantastic news!

Just wanted to let everyone know how proud I am of the young film makers who've been working all year writing scripts, acting in each other's films, sharing their skill-base and supporting and producing each other's film-making. Last November my 'Dreams & Realities' ambition was to try and create a production unit where young people make films by and for themselves and we're almost there.  But they've also achieved an awful lot more, including peer-led workshops and organising the hire of locations and facilities for their own independent film-making. Next year the plan is to do more acting, writing, sound-recording and special FX workshops, hone their skill base for those who want to specialise more and I'm some way towards getting accreditation, again, for those who want to do that.

They were so impressive last night at a special screening of the Prestatyn Youth Arts Film Festival trailer for the town councillors in the Scala cafe, alongside 1st prizewinner Adam's 'The Child, 2nd prize-winner Euan's 'Attack of the Ninja' & 3rd prizewinner Jack's latest Dr Who episode.

TEAM Prestatyn was represented by Adam, Ben, Euan, Holly, Jack, Ryan, Osh & Owen (thanks for giving-up Hallowe'en!), and the evening concluded with 'The Lighthouse' - a Film Team production with NTW's very own Gavin Porter - followed by a discussion and Q&A session with the young film-makers.  I wish you could all have been there because they were absolutely amazing!  Thank you so much for your support NTW - watch this space for the latest collaboration with Gavin -  'Unreel'  - the murder mystery in post-production now. And who knows where Film Team will be next year...?
