Auditions for 'The Ghost Room Presents....'

 

We are looking for 6 actors to play the parts of some ordinary people caught up in a not so ordinary situation. 

Applicants must be comfortable with close audience interaction and improvisation, although this is a scripted piece, anything could happen on the night.

Performance dates are the 2nd 3rd and 4th of December 8pm at The Boiler House in Llandaff.

Rehearsal dates will be worked around final casts availability but will predominantly be during evenings and weekends up until the week before production.

 

The characters we require are as follows, 

 Actor 1 - Preferably a Male 30+ (although this is negotiable for the right person) Character must command attention and be trustworthy

Actor 2 - Male or Female any age, Character is curious and confident, the hero.

Actor 3 - Female any age, Character is strange and knowledgeable 

Actor 4 - Male or Female any age

Actor 5 - Male or Female any age

Actor 6 - Male of Female any age

 

 Auditions will take place on the 26th of September at Catheys Community Center between 18:00 and 21:30 (everyone will be required for the whole time)

CASTING for Butcher on Sunday September 18th at Chapter (10-6)

Two additional performers are needed to join our delightful and talented cast and crew. Male or female and any age.

Must be able to sing and a willingness to explore contentious and sensitive material with a large dose of humour.  

Physical agility is desirable and the production will be comedic and surreal.

 

We have a super young composer on board and live musicians.

Butcher is supported by ACW and Chapter and special guests who are supporting with various aspects of training and development along the way

 

The performance dates are 8th, 9th and 10th December at Chapter

Hi everyone,

 

Just to let you know The Step Up Actors Showcase is taking place at The Barons Court Theatre, London on Sept 26th at 2.30p.m. & 7.30p.m. This Showcase is different in that it allows the Actors to perform 2 monologues showcasing their talent to their best ability. Therefore if you fancy an evening of Entertainment that is just shy of an hour long come up to London to see the group perform.

 

You can book tickets by phone at the Box Office on 0208 932 4747. Tickets are £10 each.

There are quite a few of our friends from National Theatre of Wales performing so come and support them. It promises to be an exciting evening and one which I can't wait to see. To see who is performing you can visit:

There is an open workshop taking place at Chapter next thursday to see and learn the practice of Alajotas and Urban Ink (Atlantic Project), see the performance the night before and take part the next day - free, limited space, contact me or Chapter to reserve a space.

Due to an increase in interest for our upcoming Showcase at The Barons Court Theatre in London on the 26th Sept, we have decided to keep applications open for another week. The new deadline date is

 

                                  *24th August*

 

So for those of you who wish to apply what we are asking for is to send in a Video Audition of the monologue that you want to perform at The Showcase including your name, the piece it's from and whether you are able to make the Showcase on the 26th Sept for the whole day as there will be 2 performances. There will also be a rehearsal day in Sept, so once our cast is decided we will try and arrange a date to suit everyone.

Hi everyone, just to reiterate Step Up Actors are still taking submissions for their upcoming Showcase at The Barons Court, London in Sept. Check it out www.stepupactors.moonfruit.com Submission deadline is August 10th. As we stated we want to make this event the best it can be. We are looking for performers to bring either monologues or duologues (both performers MUST be Actors) and if you are selected we will ask for £35 to market and provide the venue.
