P'Tang Yang Kipperbang adaptation

Just a little something I worked on as a little project, nothing serious. Please have a read through and let me know what you guys think. Just to re-iterate, this is just something I did when I was bored, but I have tried to adapt the text to modern day context with the success of Leicester City in the premier league to emphasise the underdog story. About the love of sport and love of a girl. I love the monologue in this and love the original film version starring Alison Steadman. Probably few…See More

Profile Information

What I do:
Student
A little more about me:
I live in North Wales, and am a student at the University of Chester. When I finish my degree, I am very interested in gaining experience as a director, keen on any emerging director roles. I am also interested in facilitating, hoping to combine both roles to work in TIE settings, ensuring I can be involved in devising, directing, facilitating and, if possible, acting as well. I have experience in performing and will accept any opportunity to perform, but mostly interested in directing. Currently working as a support worker, welfare officer and FoH assistant at Theatr Clwyd. I was lucky enough in May-June 2017 to work on three Theatr Clwyd projects; 'Hush', 'Boho' (Hijinx co-pro) and 'Junior Justice'.
Location:
Buckley, Flintshire, North Wales
Projects I’m working on:
Even though I have no commissioned pieces, I have a completed adaptation of Jack Rosenthal's P'Tang Yang Kipperbang, which the story now following Duckworth, a keen supporter of Leicester City. Also, just starting planning on the one man show of Private Peaceful. I also run a society at my university, where last year, we successfully competed in NSDF18 with a production of Caryl Churchill's 'Heart's Desire'. This year, we will enter 'Chasing Angels' by Emyr John for NSDF19. I am also currently part of a forum piece, which looks at Loan Shark culture for a Chester based company.
