WalesLab Pollinate Summer camp - applications open

A few months back I blogged about the summer camp we're planning this - well summer surprisingly.

So as the sun's out and the Olympic flame is here it's time to reveal some more info about what we're doing, where, when & how to apply:

So the first WalesLab Pollinate summer camp will take place from 6th - 18th August in the Elan Valley, near Rhayader.

We're planning to take up to 20 theatre makers away for the two weeks. We'll provide you with space, accommodation, and food. You'll bring an idea you want to work on, an openness to collaborate with others, a willingness to share and the desire to learn.

What will being there be like? We don't know - partly because it's dependent on you. The people who come will determine what happens & is made. We hope that you'll inspire each other, new collaborations will be formed, and we'll be able to kickstart a few of your projects.

Alongside space to make and explore there'll be some workshops - led both by participants and people whose expereince may help you develop your work.

The summer camp is open to Welsh & Wales based artists, but there will also be some places for international participants.

We hope that by taking you away, feeding, watering, sheltering you and providing an inspiring landscape in which to work, we'll be able to remove some of the barriers that stop creativity and making work.

If you want to know more please message me, or email me mattball@nationaltheatrewales.org, or ask a question on this page.

Deadline is Monday 18th June at midday to apply click here.

Hi Sam

yes the accommodation is wheelchair accessible.

When you say you study in Wales does that mean you live here as well or commute to study?
