Motherlode

Working across Wales and the South West, Motherlode collaborates with an ensemble of actors, writers, musicians, creatives and choreographers to create entertaining, relevant new theatre that is inspired by real life stories. Run by artistic director Rachael Boulton with theatre maker Emma Vickery and producer Nia Skyrme, our first production The Good Earth successfully toured Wales and New York, between August and November 2016, and was shortlisted for two Wales Theatre Awards. We have also developed work with young companies, staging work at the National Theatre in 2016 and Wales Millennium Centre in 2017. We're currently touring our second production Exodus, which visits twelve venues this autumn before running at the Finborough Theatre London.

We've just finished our first week of rehearsals for our new show The Good Earth showing at Chapter this September. It's almost two years since I first met our producer Sarah Jane Leigh when we were both working on NTW's sell out showTonypandemonium at the Park and Dare Theatre Treorchy. Now we're back in the building creating work of our own. Big hat tip to National Theatre Wales for bringing emerging artists together. Here are a few pics from rehearsals this week .

We've started rehearsals! Big thanks to Tom and the team at Parc & Dare for making us feel at home. We're thrilled to be making The Good Earth come to life for our shows in Chapter next month - http://www.chapter.org/node/30561

Scripts in the post and on their way to some lovely lovely actors in preparation for #thegoodearth rehearsals next week. Big thank you to RCT Arts Service, Wales Millennium Centre, Chapter and Arts Council Wales for helping us get back in the room again!
