The show is closing in!

Rehearsals tonight... whoop, whoop, whoop. I cannot wait for the excuse to brake the monotony and the deadlines. A lot of me wishes that the there were no swearing in the show, as I would be there most days, with my two year old, pretending I did this for a living. But where would the show be without the profanities? Not in Merthyr Tydfil I can tell you... he he he. In fact, It is this aspect of the show that has struck me from the start. THE COURAGE OF A MOTHER!!!!

What does a mother need to do to survive in this day and age?!!!! The answer... draw blood from a stone. I am about to bust a vein, crunching numbers and calculating how many hours of my precious time is taken up, earning money to pay the rent, rates and other essentials [fibre optic broadband] of my new house to be. Hannah - Community Cast

For the last two weeks I have been working with National Theatre Wales on the Mother Courage Project. It is a show of an all-talented, all-female cast who I have had the pleasure of meeting and watching them work. As I am a follower of National Theatre Wales on twitter, I got to hear about this opportunity on the World Wide Web; fantastic! What a great way to get the people of Merthyr Tydfil involved in the more learned and cultured world of theatre, to relate to issues alive today as much as… Continue

Hi Hannah,

Congratulations on Mother Courage, and welcome to the TEAM group! Keep a look out for the latest events/opportunities we're regularly posting up on the group.

We are looking for representatives at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, there is an open dress especially for TEAM members for {150}, and we have are looking for participants for the next Critical Chinwag at This is How We Die, Chapter Arts Centre.

All the best,

Anna
