Almost there

Its a strange thing, but for me visiting the UK is coming home. Though I was born in Canada my time there was brief and by around a year old I was on a ship to England where I lived for 28 years. And then, I ''returned '' to Canada. So my journey has echoes of the British Home child story-distorted- but perhaps with the same results............. I have two ''homes'', and a connection with journey and water that has stayed with me forever.

Summercamp 2014 - open for applications

Last year I had a brilliant time working on the Summercamp in Anglesey. It served not only as an introduction to the Company (I joined NTW only 4 weeks beforehand) but also to WalesLab, Matt Ball, and the wonderful and intriguing artists we took away with us. It was also a very long overdue re-introduction to the Isle of Anglesey. Some very fond memories!

Over the past few months i've been thinking hard about Summercamp 2014; what changes we might want to make to the structure of the…

'Slideshow': A Waleslab project at the Park and Dare

The story I'm telling is about a family. It is a mystery of sorts. There is a disappearance, and there are secrets. There are thwarted dreams, buried like unexploded bombs. The storyteller is looking for clues, and invites you to join in the search.…

Introducing new WalesLab projects - why don't you send us your ideas?

Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been meeting with so many artists to talk about their ideas. This has to be the best part of my job - when an artist shares with you the starting point for their next artistic adventure you also find out what is important to them, as people, living in today’s society, in this world. It really is an extraordinary position to be in and I’m very grateful that people want to talk to me about it.

A few weeks ago – just before my trip to…
