Every week Ffilm Scala goes from strength-to-strength - there's a regular group of young people coming into the Creative Surgeries with amazing enthusiasm and ideas - they can whip out a storyboard or two in the first hour and have usually rehearsed a rough outline and assigned roles in the second. We've had the immense good fortune to have Ryan Hall who's committed to coming every week until he starts his new job in the film world (I'm hoping to get him to join the NTW Community so that…

Marega and I returned to Barmouth in November to work a little with Bermo Arts on their production of James and The Giant Peach. We travelled by train and like excited kids we relished the mighty views of the mountains and coast of Wales. We had spent a month during the hottest part of the summer working on For Mountain Sand and Sea with the enigmatic Marc Rees and revelled in the juxtaposition of weekend Biker, Kite, Girl Guide and Line Dance Festivals (not so juxtaposed anymore) along with… Continue

Tomorrow it's 2 weeks ago when I first walked into the "Dark Philiosophers"-Shop in Newport. It was raining (suprise!),it was a long day and I was on my way home when I saw the shop and heared my tutor's voice in my head telling me 'You have to go there. You have to got there'. So I gathered all my courage and entered the shop and ran immediately into Gareth and Meg. Gareth explained the project and the shop to me,asked questions about me and after a while he and Meg said I should bring… Continue

Just make one brief visit to Cardiff’s page and Wikipedia will tell you a lot about the age of our city. Look a bit harder and the timeframes become extremely clear. In infancy Cardiff was the site of a fort, where Common Era men and women spent their days fashioning and swapping coins (or so archaeologists would have us believe). The settlement…

Had a really interesting session with the TEAM in Cardiff this evening - we spent a bit of time going through what NTW is doing online and how they can help spread info and links about Devil Inside Him to their networks. We had a brainstorm about how they could create a buzz around the show, and came up with ideas around live performances, audio and video resources they can create. Devinda has made a Group for TEAM Cardiff…Continue
