Actors! We've received the below from a Casting exec working for Disney. The Internet seems to be pretty sure this casting is for the new Star Wars film.

Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been meeting with so many artists to talk about their ideas. This has to be the best part of my job - when an artist shares with you the starting point for their next artistic adventure you also find out what is important to them, as people, living in today’s society, in this world. It really is an extraordinary position to be in and I’m very grateful that people want to talk to me about it.
A few weeks ago – just before my trip to…

On Friday and Saturday I had a great time at PlayARK's festival of Games and Talks. Friday was the 'Talks' part and Saturday the 'Games'.
The Talks included thoughts and tales from a brilliant variety of people, covering everything from interactive pottery to participatory charity radio in Sweden. There were lots of thoughts throughout the day, and loads of interesting examples to share but I won't just regurgitate them…

Chelsea Hotel

For over a century Hotel Chelsea was a centre of creativity and artistic collaboration in New York City. Made famous in numerous songs, films and books the hotel has housed some of the most famous names in the world, including Andy Warhol, Bob Dylan and Madonna; it was also the place where Welsh-great Dylan Thomas succumbed to…

The first day of the digital producers lab was over a month ago now, but it remains vivid in my memory. Which is a good thing, as I’m about to write about it.
It was a bloody great day. I was a bit nervous (similarly to…

I’m obviously far too old to have contributed a screenplay to a youth-oriented short film scheme like the BBC Made In Wales series. But Roger Burnell’s It’s My Shout organisation put out an open call for scripts and mine, “Say It”, was selected. Or, more accurately, plucked from the sub’s bench after another project was deemed, for whatever reason, to be unsuitable.
Cut to a few months later, and I’m in the St David’s Hotel in Cardiff…

Hi I’m Tom
I started out as a juggler and street performer who, back in the 80’s along with a bunch of likeminded reprobates founded nofitstate as a reaction to the Thatcherite world around us, and as an excuse not to get proper jobs. Twenty-eight years on, only 2 of the original crew remain and the company has entrenched it’s position as the UK’s largest and leading contemporary circus company. We regularly tour the UK and internationally as well as running a large program of evening…

It's my first time as an artist working with the NTW Assembly and I loved every minute of it.
Being part of a large group of artists all harnessing their skills to create something as big as the Rhondda Assembly was really amazing. Seeing everything come together under a short space of time with no panic whatsoever (well maybe some slight panics) was a testament to the professionalism of the whole team.
The techs were awesome and tried their best to get everything we needed as…
