I sat down last night to watch Citizen Khan for a bit of research as the central character is a sort of Pakistani 'Alf Garnett' from Birmingham. I thought this would be helpful to flesh out one of my central characters in new piece "Curry - The Musical!"

I've been frequenting Edinburgh Fringe for the past four years and it's never failed to deliver, but more and more its prowess has been lessening, and this year it almost hit rock bottom.
This year, it seems, prices for theatre, on the whole, had gone up at least 15% from previous years. Previous years unknowns seemed more eager to claw audiences through the door charging a neat and healthy price of £5 or less, lessening the audience’s part in the risk we're all asked to take…

I'm organising a panel discussion for the Wales Arts Review Critics' Roundtable event at the Richard Burton Theatre at RWCMD on Saturday November 17th.
I'm looking for actors who have either worked with Richard Burton, or played Burton in Mark Jenkins' 'Playing Burton' to get in touch with me with a view to joining the panel.
This is not a paid job, as the event is being organised to promote theatre criticism in Wales and the Burton panel will be one of four that will…

It's week 5 of our rehearsal process and our first full week in Wepre Park. It's been crazy, wet, muddy, tiring and lots of fun! I love being outdoors; I know this will be quite an extraordinary production for cast, crew and especially the poor, unsuspecting members of the public :)
Yesterday we had a full run in costume. Many people stopped to have a look; a little baffled as to why there was Super Girl, a man in a pink fur coat, a mermaid and many other strange beings running in and…

Before more detailed traces and remnants of our Coriolan/us project begin to gather, I thought that I would mark its completion with a quick camera phone image, snapped across that portion of hangar 858 temporarily designated 'rome', a few minutes after being vacated by the 350 of us who had populated it for the duration of our final performance last Saturday.
After Coriolan/us - Hangar 858, St Athan, 22:00, 18th August…
