A Queer Christmas- part 1

Hey everyone,

I've decided to blog about our process and journey throughout 'A Queer Christmas' so that anyone that's interested in immersive community promenade theatre (really need to get a catchier description than this!) can follow how we're going about it. Hopefully these blogs can open up into discussions and debates on collaborations between theatre companies and community.

So, my aim is to create a promenade theatre production on Swansea High St that will celebrate… Continue

Simon eats a lemon

Tue, Jul 2, 2013 at 11:45 AM    ... am sending you this slideshow - it might change - it might not be a slideshow at all - but this is its current state: All of the other image/slideshows that I have been collecting/editing a particular text or sound has become an apparent counterpart. However - I am not hearing anything when I watch this slideshow of you. Perhaps it should be watched in silence - but this still continues to make me feel uncomfortable! Perhaps this is the…

My Friend and Mentor Ruth Maleczech, Rest In Peace

In the summer of 1988, as a young directing student at Columbia University, New York, I was sent on a placement at a downtown experimental theatre company I’d never heard of. Tiger Bay under 14s

Hi all

I'm running the tiger Bay FC U14s with my colleagues. We are sponsored by the National Theatre of Wales, who purchased are beautiful Adidas kits. Me and the whole team are really grateful. We got invited to a sneak preview of silly kings. It was the first time for most of the kids, they absolutely loved it. They reminded me and Ali Goolyad of our first time watching a show many years ago. The whole team are asking when the next show is lol. I'll add a few of the team pics for… Continue

Join our TEAM Panel

They've helped create one of the most exciting models of engagement in the UK, but also contribute to all branches of NTW from programming to recruitment. They sit on our interview panels, represent us at shows, give presentations on our behalf and feedback regularly to our staff and board.

We are now looking for new members with a range of skills,…

Hello Treorchy

Today is the first day of National Theatre Wales' Treorchy residency. We're spending the whole month at the Park & Dare Theatre - making Tonypandemonium (the first play by award-winning author, and Treorchy resident, Rachel Trezise), hosting an Assembly, joining forces with Dirty Protest to make a day-long celebration of Welsh theatre writing and creating events with local people and creators from all over Wales. …
