Sorrow for my Sons - Graig Du Theatre Players

I have decided to write an outline of the radio dramatization, as I did with the story "Mother's Blessing", and direct people to the group pages to view the full text of the play. The radio play is a stand alone version compared to the stage adaption, incorporating elements of "Take No Farewell " that told events from Arthur Gibbs's viewpoint about his friendship with William Dillwyn Llewelyn.

William Dillwyn Llewelyn, the eldest son of Sir John Dillwyn Llewelyn, was found…

Where am I going?

Sometimes the first day is like banging your head against the wall - today was different.

Today we started by painting our bodies with invisible paint, banging Oday's chest with clenched fists, breathing in and opening our arms to the world and shaking away the shit.

We're getting to…

Mother's Blessing - Graig Du Theatre Players

I have been asked if the outline for the story "Mother's Blessing" could be written here as some people have informed me they have had trouble accessing the Graig Du Theatre Players group page. The story will be available on the group pages; it is one of the intended adaptions for "The Rhondda Mysteries project." I would like to thank everyone who has shown…

Hello all.

I’ve been involved with NTW for the last five years in various ways, working for the company for the last four and a half and this experience has been, in everyway, life changing.

In 2010 I was a partner in a community enterprise called ‘Community Helps Itself’ we were based in Butetown, Cardiff. We worked around south Wales, working on various community arts projects.

I studied film and Television at university, after going back to…

TEAM panel - Sophie McKeand

Hi I’m Sophie McKeand and this will be my second year on TEAM Panel. I’m a poet from Wrecsam in North Wales and love love love being part of TEAM. I originally wanted to join Panel because I want to connect more with my community and bring more NTW events to this little part of Cymru; I also want to create great art and meet other likeminded people, and TEAM gives me the opportunity to do all of these things.

In 2015 I was lucky enough to make it to NTW Summercamp. It was a…

New to Team Panel 2016:-)

Hi All,

So to summarize, 2015 was a great year for me as I was able to get involved with NTW and work on a couple of their projects venturing into the realm of Stage management!

I'm excited to begin this year as a new Team Panel member! Meanwhile I'll also be finishing university this year which is exciting but also scary!

I'm mainly looking forward to meeting everyone else and sharing our ideas. The project ideas I have for me are quite raw and mainly…

Hello TEAM Panel

My name is Connor Allen and I'm a 23 year old actor from Newport. I initially got introduced to National Theatre Wales’ TEAM by auditioning and eventually winning the first ever Cardiff MonologueSlam hosted by TEAM and Triforce Creative. MonologueSlam is a competition where performers perform selected monologues in either 1 or 3 minute rounds to a panel of judges who then select a winner of each round and an overall winner. As the overall winner I had the chance to represent Wales at the… Continue

TEAM Panel!

So here we are 2016! A new start and a new adventure for me as I join The National Theatre Wales Team panel and what can I say, I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of it!

My name is Diana, I live in Pembrokeshire, South West Wales. I’ve always been passionate about directing my creative energy into every walk of life. I also think it is extremely important to nurture this energy in young people and give them positive ways to direct it, shape it, end up with an outcome they can be…
