If you had booked a seat at Cardiff's New Theatre on May 11th, you were lucky to get into it. I can't remember a heave ho like the one i encountered whilst trying to snake my way through the excited cheer of Thursday's reception. Already buzzed at the prospect of seeing NTW third and perhaps most talked about production i was nearly levitating by the time the curtain ascended. There is nothing more exhilarating than watching people grab and claw for the last hot ticket when your country's… Continue

There is a lot of experimentation in pervasive mobile gaming right now.
There's still a certain novelty and the long-term appeal of games that rely heavily on this is uncertain. Witness the mobile game Foursquare, which could just be viewed as a ploy to get people to gather valuable
geodata for free.
If you're looking for something a little more edgy, have a look at Blowtooth:…
Press night at the New Theatre for The Devil Inside Him tonight, and I'm very excited. If you're going too, you might be interested in Iwan's reflections on playing Huw Prosser. I interviewed Iwan for Buzz a while back, and you can read the full version here (the one in print had to be cut back, sadly).

These are the answers to "when does the future start?" the question behind the Valleys Assembly. These blocks were completed by guests at Blaengarw Workmen's Hall to tell us when they thought their future… Continue
I've just returned from a week in Dublin, performing my A.E.Housman piece, "Take Desire Away", at The James Joyce Centre. I think I can legitimately claim an artistic success, if not a financial one! You can check out a great review on RTE 1's "The View", Ireland's premier TV Arts Review Programme (about 13 minutes in!):
I really like the trailer for the Devil Inside Him, but feel it presents a different artistic vision to that in the actual live theatre performance at the New .To me its…

This election campaign has seen repeated promises of “change” and a “new politics” from politicians keen to show they understand the public’s anger at a corrupt and broken political system. The election has produced another outrageous result with a massive mismatch between votes and seats. Our voices have been silenced.
I am hoping to borrow some flats for one day (in May, June or July) to create the backdrop of a living room scene for an art performance - anyone got any suggestions of who I could ask or where I should go?
Perhaps there is a cost effective alternative that would work just as well...? All info and suggestions greatfully received!…
With regards to the curtain raiser ideas I have assessed the impact of street theatre, and after watching the tech run have come up with an idea for a mostly improvised mini performance which promotes and advertises the play and it's themes/emotions. Laura has come up with another idea and we have decided to combine the two...
I had missed all of Carl's emails. So by the time I spoke to him he was a a little frustrated. He had been trying to negotiate our travel plan to the next show in Cardiff, The Devil Inside Him. When I finally spoke to him on the phone at about 2pm my right eye…Continue
