Before I Leave – A view from the wings

There is a moment, where those of us waiting backstage in the community chorus, see three actors shoot off stage right, shedding jackets, scarves, jumpers and racing round to appear on stage again moments later.  The wardrobe staff grab what they can,  hand out the next layer of clothing and gather up the heaps from the floor. The stage manager listens to her earpiece for the next cue, hand on door, effortlessly ushering someone through. The music rises, the light changes; we can’t…

Feel Good Friday

Success is a funny word

And like I've said before, success is individual and comes in many forms.

We are all successes in our own way and through hard hard and belief only more success can follow.

'Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm'

We are going to come up against hardships and obstacles on our journey but these hardships and… Continue

Before I Leave - tomorrow night is our first Preview Night ...!

It seems to have come around so quickly but now, after many weeks of rehearsal we, the singers in the Chorus of Patrick Jones's new play, are about to make our stage debut in front of an audience at the Sherman.

It's exciting, even though the actual stage part of our performance is relatively minimal, because the songs are great, and being part of a team of singers, building towards a show, has a momentum that has to be experienced to be appreciated. We really are all in this…

Minus some tricky bookcase manoeuvring up some bendy staircases, and some close calls with a drill or two, it has been a lot of fun!

Hello, I'm Nadia... and if you meet me and don't recognise me, that's… Continue

Feel Good Friday

Sometimes I think 'Wouldn't a time machine solve all our problems'

Just go back and fix whatever went wrong. Problem solved.

Make a different decision, don't take certain things for granted etc

Unfortunately that's not the case.

That being said this weeks Feel Good is from Robert Brault

"Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things." Robert Brault
