Here are pictures of Laura and I promoting The Devil Inside Him as part of Team Cardiff through the medium of Curtain Raisers in the centre yesterday afternoon.
Our ideas were inspired by street theatre and we wanted to create a "live trailer":
This election campaign has seen repeated promises of “change” and a “new politics” from politicians keen to show they understand the public’s anger at a corrupt and broken political system. The election has produced another outrageous result with a massive mismatch between votes and seats. Our voices have been silenced.
I am hoping to borrow some flats for one day (in May, June or July) to create the backdrop of a living room scene for an art performance - anyone got any suggestions of who I could ask or where I should go?
Perhaps there is a cost effective alternative that would work just as well...? All info and suggestions greatfully received!…
With regards to the curtain raiser ideas I have assessed the impact of street theatre, and after watching the tech run have come up with an idea for a mostly improvised mini performance which promotes and advertises the play and it's themes/emotions. Laura has come up with another idea and we have decided to combine the two...
I had missed all of Carl's emails. So by the time I spoke to him he was a a little frustrated. He had been trying to negotiate our travel plan to the next show in Cardiff, The Devil Inside Him. When I finally spoke to him on the phone at about 2pm my right eye…Continue

From the shores of Britain to the central reaches of Asia Minor, an ancient path covering more than 3000 miles has lain dormant for over 800 years. Not since the last crusade of 13th century has anyone undertaken to traverse its entire lengh on foot, as Europe staggered through the dark ages, and from plague to famine to war.
Now after 65 years of European peace, it is time for this path to be walked again. There is a chance now to stretch out the…
Sam and I took up residence on the side of the cliff for 30 minutes. A video camera caught our inactivity as the time lapse recording documented a minutes silence, a brief period of inactivity to contemplate the closing of the ballot.
A bat circled overhead and the cliff dropped away behind us revealing the town of Aberystwyth at night. A few feet away to our right, the rocks fell sharply towards the sea a hundred feet below.…

Also, I had an idea last night. It might sound nuts but...we could make
sandwich board signs out of the posters and be a walking advertisement
through town, there would be a short script to say too;…

I sat in the far corner of Mike's office observing for the best part of 4 hours as the two Mikes, Simon and Giles, navigated their way through the production details of the Persians. I say far corner... none of the corners are actually very far from each other, so I did my best to sit as out of the way as possible. A set model sat on the far side of the room and miniature pieces of furniture moved their way around as materials and budgets were discussed.
